CYBELE project’s consortium combines multidisciplinary competences and resources from the academia, industry and research community focusing on High Performance Computing (HPC) (infrastructures, applications and middleware technologies), resources abstraction, hardware accelerators, Big Data management, processing and analytics, scientific visualization, as well as Precision Agriculture (PA) and Precision Livestock Farming (PLF). It consists of 31 partners (plus 3 subcontractors) representing research institutes, universities, technology providers, testbed providers and industrial partners (including eight SMEs) from 16 EC member states and associated countries, i.e. Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Austria, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Serbia, Denmark, Finland and the Netherlands – two of them coming from the new Member States (i.e. Poland and Cyprus) and on them coming from the associated countries (i.e. Serbia). This multinational cooperation is essential in order to implement the rising requirements of precision agriculture and precision livestock farming stakeholders in Europe and beyond, for scalable big data management, high performance processing infrastructures and advanced analytics backed by machine and deep learning technologies. The CYBELE project brings together a team of experienced partners dedicated to contributing, each in their respective area of expertise, to the successful implementation of the project objectives!
